We went to the animal rescue place today, and it was pretty fun I guess. We were in this barn-type place and this lady was instructing us on how to properly walk dogs. That dog there was really pretty.. anyway, so we were standing there, there were about ten or more people, and we had to stand there for over an hour. She also had us practice walking the dog infront of the other people, which is something I feared would happen. It turned out to be okay, and I think I did pretty good. It make me feel better that pretty much everyone there was about as nervous as I was.The lady watched each of us closely as we walked the dog and pointed out errors. She also said she was matching people up with certain dogs based on personality, and I can't wait to see what dog I'm paired up with. There's one dog there, a big brindle dog, that I'm hoping I'll be paired with. She was rescued from Katrina.
There were cats there aswell, along with some kittens. They were so small and cute! I'd rather handle cats than dogs, but I do love all animals.
My friend hasn't changed much. At the animal shelter, she seemed to talk really easily to other people. It made me feel kinda sad that I couldn't do that, but not for long because of all the cute cats.
She has Homecoming tonight, and is going to be out until 11 pm. This made me feel like a bit of a loser since all I do is stay inside and sit at the computer or read or something. But that's okay, I'm different and I like it. Though I do worry a little whether I was boring or not compared to her other friends..

You are quite the jealous person, even if you don't know it. And the true bummer is: you're too envious to really appreciate what you have going on. Just remember, no one has the perfect life. So love the one you have! |
