Once again, I am stuck between defining myself as a Satanist or an atheist. Both are alike in that they do not submit to being sheep to blind faith.

Satanism doesn't necessarily mean the worship of Satan, either, but more of bettering yourself and glorifiying the attributes that Satan represents. True Satanists value all life, and take no part at all in sacrifices, unlike the bloodthirsty god of the Christian bible. Or pretty much any bible, for that matter.

Atheism isn't a religion, obviously. Atheists do not believe in gods, and instead rely on science for a more rational, informed explaination as to how the world works.

I am stuck in between these two. I wish so much that the supernatural actually existed, and maybe it does. However, most, if not all, of paranormal experiences can be rationally explained. I wish this wasn't so. I wish there was a god, a "devil", angels and demons, ghosts, spirits, and so forth. I don't want to live in a world where we know absolutely everything. It is this wishfull thinking that drives me towards Satanism, as this "religion" involves magic, as well. But then again, this wishful thinking is the exact same reason why some Christians (or Muslims, or Jews etc) are what they are.
